EasyCutout Privacy Policy

EasyCutout is an on-device AI background removal and image upscaling app by Ryu Studio. All cutout and upscaling work runs locally on your computer, and your images are never uploaded to any server. This policy explains what the app handles, how it uses the network, how purchases work, and retention or deletion options.

    Data We Collect

    EasyCutout does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photo library, advertising identifiers, crash reports, or app analytics. It contains no analytics or tracking SDKs.

    Image Processing

    The app processes only the images you choose or drop in. Background removal, edge refinement, cropping, and super-resolution upscaling run entirely on your device using local AI models, and results are exported to the location you choose. Your images never leave your computer and are never used for model training.

    Network Use

    The app connects to the internet only when you first use an AI model, to download the model file over HTTPS from model hosts (such as GitHub, Hugging Face, and their download mirrors) and store it locally. No images or personal information are sent during downloads; these hosts may keep basic access logs such as IP addresses under their own policies.

    Purchases and Subscriptions

    EasyCutout Pro monthly and yearly subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by the channel you got the app from: Apple for the Mac App Store version, Microsoft for the Microsoft Store version, and the payment provider used on our website for the direct-download version. The app never receives or stores your payment information; it only reads the license or subscription status needed to determine whether Pro features are available. To manage subscriptions, restore purchases, or request refunds: for Apple, use your Apple ID subscription settings and reportaproblem.apple.com; for Microsoft, use "Services & subscriptions" in your Microsoft account; for the direct version, contact [email protected]. The Mac App Store version is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); other channels are governed by the applicable store terms or our terms of use.

    Third Parties and Sharing

    We do not sell your personal data, share your images or exports with third parties, or use them for advertising tracking. The store or payment provider you use processes purchase-related information under its own privacy policy.

    Retention and Deletion

    Images, exports, and downloaded models are stored on your device and controlled by you. You can delete exported files, remove models in the app, or delete the app and its data. If you contact us by email, we retain the message only as long as needed to respond or as required by law.
